Catch Me

Do you know what it feels like;
To not have the support of soil under your feet?
     Or of someone's hand in yours?
Do you know what it feels like;
To be d r o p p i n g,
     off the face of the Earth,
          and have no one hear you scream?
When your hearts in your throat,
and your ribs pierce your lungs,
and you can hear your blood thumping in your ears.
Do you know what it feels like;
To be falling,
     feet torn from the ground,
          and wings stripped from your back.
Do you know what it feels like;
The ground, tauntingly, reaching out to grab you,
     cement speeding towards you.
Do you know what it feels like;
To be thrown into
someone's
arms?

Do you know what it feels like;
To be caught?

Because it's the greatest feeling in the world.
